For the latest CMS releases, use a network mount point to extract data. After setting up this storage device, use this procedure to add it to CMS Supervisor. You must add a storage device to perform backup, restore, and migration procedures.
Before you begin
You must configure the network mount point device and ensure that it is accessible from the CMS server.
Navigate to AdministrationMaintenanceBackup/Restore Devices.
Click Add Backup/Restore Device to add a new storage device.
In the Device Name field, enter a name for the backup/restore device.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
You will select this device name when performing backup, restore, and migration procedures in CMS Supervisor.
In the Path field, enter the full path to access the device.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The device path for the network mount point must exist on the CMS server and the device must be mounted.
In the Description field, enter any additional information to help identify the device.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
You can enter up to 50 characters. This field cannot contain the pipe (|) symbol, a semicolon, or double quotes.
In Device Type, select Other for the network mount point device.
