Scenario for backing up data from a real ACD to load on a pseudo-ACD

Last Updated : Oct 21, 2024 |
Prolog information
Data is loaded from the latest available CMS maintenance backup in the specified backup/restore device. In this high-level procedure, the backup/restore device is a network mount point and the data to be loaded to the pseudo-ACD is a set of specific tables.
  1. Create a directory for the pseudo-ACD data only.
  2. From MaintenanceBackup/Restore Devices, configure the backup/restore device you are planning to use to point to the pseudo-ACD directory.
  3. From MaintenanceBack Up Data, select the specific tables to back up.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
To prevent storage issues, ensure that you only back up the data you need. For example, do not back up data for all ACDs if you only need data for the current ACD.
  4. From System SetupLoad Pseudo-ACD Data, load data onto the pseudo-ACD using the same device that was used to back up data.
    STEP RESULT:
This process ensures that the correct data is loaded onto the pseudo-ACD. With this process, the only data that should exist in the directory for the backup/restore device is the data specifically backed up for the pseudo-ACD.
