Configure LDAP Active Directory server integration with CMS. You must provide information about the LDAP server, including the IP address or FQDN and the domain connection string. This information is used to establish a connection.
Before you begin
Before configuring LDAP, ensure that the LDAP package is installed. If it is not installed, use the feature package installation procedures in Maintaining and Troubleshooting Avaya Call Management System.
Log in to the CMS server with root privileges.
Run the cmsadm command to display the cmsadm.
Enter the number that corresponds with the option to configure the LDAP feature.
Enter 1 to configure the LDAP directory server and then press Enter.
Modify the following information if required and then press Enter:
IP address or FQDN of the LDAP server.
IP address of the LDAP domain connection string. For example, type DC=com as the domain connection string value.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
CMS verifies the information and establishes a connection with the LDAP server. The system updates NSS-PAM-LDAPD configuration files, such as nslcd.conf and nsswitch.conf. In the PAM file (for example, cs-auth), the PAM stack is updated to authenticate with LDAP first and then fall through to Linux authentication.
