Scheduler page descriptions

Prolog information
After setting up scheduling in the Web Client, click Scheduler to view and manage your scheduled jobs. You can view report jobs, administration jobs, or all jobs. This section is focused on administration jobs.
The Jobs table on the Scheduler page displays information about each job. It also provides actions that you can perform to manage each job.
When you click a job in the table, historical data is displayed in the Job Detail area. You see information about each scheduled run for the job. For each item displayed, you can view results or delete the item.
The Jobs table displays the following information:
Job information
Description
Job Name
Displays the name of the scheduled job.
Action
Displays recent actions. For example, Suspend indicates that you temporarily suspended the job.
State
Displays the status of the job. For example:
  • Active indicates that the job is active and will continue to run as scheduled.
  • Complete indicates that the job is complete. For example, this status is displayed if you scheduled a one-time job that has already run.
  • Suspended indicates that you temporarily suspended the job.
Last Run
Displays the date and time for the previous run.
Result
Indicates whether the last run was successful.
Next Run
Displays the date and time for the next scheduled job run. This information is displayed for active jobs.
Type
Displays the schedule type for the job. For example: Once, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
Interval
Displays the interval at which the job is scheduled. For example, if a Daily job is scheduled to run every day, the interval is 1.
ID
Displays the job ID. CMS generates this ID automatically.
Expire
Displays the end date and time when the job will run for the last time.
Retention
Displays the number of days the scheduled job is stored in the database.
The number of days job results can be retained for depends on the maximum retention setting, which varies based on the schedule type. For example, by default, Daily jobs can be retained for up to 10 days. The maximum retention settings are customizable.
Action icons are available in the main Jobs table and the Job Details area:

In the main Jobs table, click to resume a suspended job. The job continues to run as scheduled.
pause or suspend icon

In the main Jobs table, click to suspend the job temporarily. The scheduled job will not run until you resume it.
cancel icon, which permanently stops or cancels the job

In the main Jobs table, click to cancel the job. You cannot resume the job after canceling it.
run now icon

In the main Jobs table, click to run the job immediately. You can view the results when they are ready. After this, the job continues to run as scheduled.
open latest job icon

In the main Jobs table, click to view results for the latest available job. If there are any errors, you can view the same.
In the Job Details area, this option is displayed next to each available item. Click it to view specific job results. If there are any errors, you can view the same. This option is grayed out if results are not available to view.
edit scheduling icon

In the main Jobs table, click to edit the job name and scheduling options. For example, you can change the days when the job is run.
Note that this icon might not be available depending on the job status.
  • If the job details are available when you edit the job schedule, the Schedule Administration window displays the Schedule and the Job Detail tabs.
  • If the job details are unavailable when you edit the job schedule, the Schedule Administration window displays the job schedule.
view icon

In the main Jobs table, click to view the jobs that are either canceled or expired.
  • If the job details are available when you view the job schedule, the Schedule Administration window displays the Schedule and the Job Detail tabs.
  • If the job details are unavailable when you view the job schedule, the Schedule Administration window displays the job schedule.

In the main Jobs table, click to delete the job and all associated details.
In the Job Details area, this option is displayed next to each available item. Click it to delete an entry.
To refresh the page after making changes, you can click refresh page icon at the top of the page.
