Adding VDN permissions in the PC Client

  1. From the Controller window, navigate to ToolsUser Permissions.
  2. In the Operations list, select VDN Access.
  3. In the ACD list, select the ACD containing the VDNs for which you want to assign permissions.
  4. Click OK.
    STEP RESULT:
    CMS Supervisor displays the User Permissions VDN Access window.
  5. In the User ID field, enter the name of the user who will be assigned VDN permissions.
  6. In the VDNs field, enter the names or IDs of the VDNs you want to assign.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    If you enter multiple values, separate them with a semicolon.
  7. Select one or more of the following check boxes to assign permissions for the specified VDNs:
    • Read: The user can view VDN data.
    • Write: The user can manage the specified VDNs. To assign Write access, you must select both Read and Write.
    • Exceptions: The user is notified when active VDN exceptions occur. For general information about VDN exceptions, see VDN exceptions.
  8. After assigning the necessary permissions, click ActionsAdd from the menu bar.
